Hi, I'm Karen.

I'm an artist, maker, and writer. This is my attempt to share more of the things I create and love in an effort to bring more joy and beauty into the world.

We don't seem to make time for play and creation enough these days, and I hope that my site and creations inspire you to slow down for a bit and see what else is possible.

What you'll find here

I'm not a huge social media fan. I do have a presence on BlueSky and Pixelfed where I share work to drive traffic here, but I'm not hugely active there otherwise. I wanted to create this site as an alternative to the endless scroll of social media feeds, both for myself and for you.

I'll be sharing my writing, some fiction, some non, some poetry, and some essays... and whatever else strikes my fancy.

I'll be sharing my art as I learn to be more capable at both digital and traditional art forms.

I'll be showing my handmade creations... I'm a glass, fiber, and textile creative and am excited to start putting more of that work out into the world as well.

What will not be tolerated here

I will not abide hate on this site. If you are a bigot of any form, you are absolutely not welcome here. I believe that all of the people and beings in this world deserve to live happy and free from all forms of tyranny.

I reserve the absolute right to ban anyone not acting in good faith from this site, whether you are a paid or a free member. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequence.

Let's create a community

I absolutely believe we need to start building more offline community and connections, AND we can still create valuable digital/online spaces at the same time. I acknowledge that we all have different resources available to us and at the same time I urge you to get out among your fellow humans when you can (and as long as it's safe to do so).
